Please note: Although Appify can be adapted to many different niche style sites, it is not meant to be used as a traditional blogging platform. WordPress’ posts are used to power the main sections on the homepage, and are not meant to act as a standard blog.
To install this theme you must have a working version of WordPress already installed. For information in regard to installing the WordPress platform, please see the WordPress Codex - http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress
Installation
When you are ready to install a theme, you must first upload the theme files and then activate the theme itself. The theme files can be uploaded in two ways:
Once the theme is uploaded, you need to activate it. Go to Appearance -> Themes and activate your chosen theme.
To take advantage of all of the great features Appify offers, please install the Features and Testimonials plugins.
There will be a notification shown in the WordPress dashboard that tells you to install the plugins, click on both of the links and the plugins will install.

The theme enables a new post type called "Sections" this allows you to add new sections to your home page.
To add a new section visit the WordPress dashboard and click on "Section" in the sidebar menu and then click on "Add Section"
To upload a image to the section use the "Feature Image" option within the post type.

To add icons to the home page design you will need to use the "Features" custom post type which uses the Features by WooThemes plugin, first ensure you have installed the plugin and then click on "Features" then "Add New"
You can upload any icon or image to the featured image area.
To change the icon background color use the "Features Detail" area to customize the HEX color and the URL link.

To add testimonials to the home page design you will need to use the "Testimonials" custom post type which uses the Testimonials by WooThemes plugin, first ensure you have installed the plugin and then click on "Testimonials" then "Add New"
You can upload any image to the featured image area to display the persons image.

The Appify theme uses two areas to customize the design of the theme. To access the main customization area go to Appearance -> Customize within the WordPress dashboard.
Within this area you can customize everything from your logo, background image, the main image of your landing page design such as an iPhone app, icon set etc.
Go to the Appify Hero Unit to customize the main image at the top of the home page.
You can add your title, intro paragraph, image and if you are using this as a iPhone/Android landing page you can fill out the App Store or Google Play link.
Here is what the filled out section looks like:
To add your own custom logo go to Appearance > Header under the "Select Image" section click on "Choose Image" and upload your own custom logo.
We recommend the size of the logo be as follows - Width is 978 pixels. Height is 250 pixels.

To add your own custom background go to Appearance > Background under the "Select Image" section click on "Choose Image" and upload your own background logo.
